摘要：A device for continuous height adjustment for a lamp Ä19Ü suspended by aflexible cable Ä17Ü has the cable passing over two circular bosses Ä13, 14Ü on a disc,pivoted in a bracket attached to the ceiling. The bracket is U-shaped and within the U ashort distance from the pivot is a limit stop Ä6Ü, shaped like a pulley. The surface has ahigh coefficient of friction. The cable passes below the stop but above the pivot. Rotationof the disc will squeeze the cable between one boss and the stop, thus holding the cablein position. If the disc is rotated the other way, the cable is released and it can bepositioned further to vary the lamp height.
