摘要：The invention concerns reliable writing of database log data, In particular, theinvention concerns a computer system, methods and software to enable database logdata to be written to recoverable storage in a reliable way. There is provided a computersystem () for writing database log data to recoverable storage () comprising a durable
database management system (DBMS) (); and a hypervisor () or kernel that enablescommunications between the recoverable storage device driver () and a recoverablestorage device () to write the log data written to the non recoverable storage () and () tothe recoverable storage device () asynchronously to the continued writing of log data tothe non-recoverable storage () and (). This allows the DBMS () to ensure recoverabilityand serializability and still allowing logs to be written asynchronously removing aperformance bottleneck for the DBMS.
