(作及物动词的宾语) 2、I`m surprised (that) you didn`t hear about it before. (作形容词的宾语) 3.I`m curious at what he will say. (作介词的宾语) 一、 宾语从句的连接词。 1、 that 在从句中无词汇意义,不能充当句子成分,在口语和非正式文体中可以省略。如: He said (that ) he wanted to stay at home. I`m sure (that) he will succeed. 2、 if和whether 在句子的意思是“是否”,但不充当成分。一般情况下两者可以互换,不同的是whether后可接or not, 而if一般不与or not 连用。 Eg: (1)I don`t know if/ whether you can help me. (2)I wonder whether it is true or not. 连接代词who, whom, whose, what, which在句子有词义,并且充当从句中的主语、宾语、表语、定语。 I wonder what he`s writing to me . (宾语) He asked whose handwriting was the best. (定语) 连词副词where,when, how, why 在句子有词义,并且充当从句中的状语。 I want to know when you can finish the work. (时间状语) 3、 Could you tell me where Tom has gone ? (地点状语) 二、 宾语从句的语序:陈述语序。即:连接词+主语+谓语 或 连接词(充当主语)+谓语 随堂练习:(1) Can you tell me ____ ? A where he is B where is he C he is where D what is he (2) Do you know how much water ____ ? A Jenny is needed B does Jenny need C Jenny needs D did Jenny need 三、 宾语从句的时态。 1、 2、 3、 主句是一般现在时,从句可用所需要的任何时态。 主句是过去时,从句必须用过去的某一种时态。 从句如果表示客观真理、客观事实时,不管什么时候都用一般现在时。 Eg: ①We all want to know if she will take part in the games. ②I didn`t know when he would come back the next day. ③The teacher told us that the Earth goes around the sun. 随堂练习:(1)I didn`t know how ___ to London ?
