摘要：The apparatus has means for generating a set of characteristic vectors whichserve to approximately describe an input signal and which are associated withpredetermined sample intervals of the signal. The arrangement also has circuitry forproviding a hidden Markov model (HMM) for the signal. The arrangement determines aprobability value which defines the probability that the set of vectors will occur in theHMM model. A threshold value circuit compares the probability value with a thresholdvalue and makes a decision on the verification of the signal. The threshold value dependson an automatically determined person dependent second probability value. This isformed with the help of training signals used for training the HMM model, and at least
one additional validation signal not used for the training.
