2.People tend to believe that all young adults should undertake a period of unpaid work for the good of the community. Do you agree or disagree?
The issue of whether all young adults should carry out a period of salary-free work has caused quite a stir.In this essay, I will argue that only young people who are planned to undertake jobs about caring for the weakness of the society should carry out a period of unpaid work.
First and foremost, letting all young adults undertake a period of unpaid work is not justified. To some youngsters, they are too busy on their study or work due to the intense competition. These youngsters do not have much time to do the volunteer job that cannot improve them much.
Besides, some young adults urgently need money. For instance, some young adults get married early and have kids. We all know the cost of raising a baby is a large sum of money, so these young adults need a high-salary job instead of unpaid work apparently.
However,no one can deny the fact that carrying out a period of volunteer job is benifical to the community. These jobs can promote our morals standard and give us a sense of social responsibility. Therefore, I suppose that the youngsters who want to undertake jobs about caring for the weakness of the society (e.g. the Red Cross, NGO)should take a period of paid-free job, since caring for the weakness need high moral standards and the unpaid jobs would be a good train for them. Moreover, jobs about caring for the weakness do not have much salary
and these youngsters would remain poor, so doing some unpaid job would be a test for these youngsters.
To conclude, I think that it is unnecessary that all young people undertake unpaid jobs, but the young people who are planned to undertake jobs about caring for the weakness of the society should carry out a period of unpaid work.
