bears to hunt. The seals hardly come onto the land and spend their time out on the sea ice.

In recent years, the seal ice has disappeared in the Arctic during the late summer. This is dangerous for the polar bears, as they depend almost only on seals for food. Unlike brown and black bears, polar bears do not hibernate(冬眠) during the winter. Only female polar bears will go into a “little house” and stay for a long time if they are giving birth to baby bears.

It may be strange to think about, but winter is the time for polar bears to get food while summer is the time of hunger. The bears have got used to a cold world, and they need the low temperatures in order to stay alive. But since the old woman was known for her wisdom, he agreed to do as she said. He went home and brought inside all the farm animals he had. As you can imagine, it was out of order at home. The animals made all kinds of noise. The dogs barked. The sheep cried.

The man could find no peace at all. So he went back to ask the wise old lady. She listened patiently and then said, “Go home and take all of the animals out of your home.” The man was confused(困惑的) as it had been only a few days since she had advised him to bring them all into his house. When I was a little child, I lived a happy life. My parents took me to play in many places, and in school, my teacher was kind and friendly, he left me little homework. We used to play games and watch cartoons in class.

However, my bad dreams began when I got to Grade Three. The teachers were stricter and the subjects were more difficult. My grades were dropping which made my parents very worried. They had to make me study all day. I was very tired and thought the school was not fun as before. Then in Grade Four and Grade Five, I kept having the problem, failing grades. I almost lost heart in learning.

Grade six was the last year when I was in primary school. On April 21th that year, our school held a sport meeting. Luckily, I won the races for 100m and 200m. It was on the winter’s platform (领奖台) that realized I was the fastest runner in the school. From then on, I studied harder and more carefully. I wanted to prove that I could also do well in study. Then my grades became better and better.

So we should look up and never give up. Failure does not mean you are a loser. But when you keep going and keep working hard, you will win. Without pain, suffering, regrets or failure, you will never become the greatest.
