摘要：In a communication system using a mobile terminal capable of accessing both amobile communication network and a local network simultaneously and a gateway
provided between a fixed communication network and the local network, the mobileterminal transmits an inquiry message for inquiring information regarding a location onnetworks of a correspondent of packet communications, to the gateway through thelocal network, and receives a response message indicating the lookup processing resultfrom the gateway through the local network. Then, the mobile terminal acquires anaddress to be used in the packet communications with the correspondent according tothe response message, and assigns the address to a communication interface for thelocal network.
