摘要：An apparatus for preparing a synthetic pipe for use in a float is disclosed. A firstpipe is extruded by the use of a first extruding means and separating plates are insertedand fixed in the pipe in a tight manner at predetermined, intervals in order to formchambers within the pipe. While the pipe is still heated and in a soft state from theextrusion, a perforating means perforates the wall of the first pipe, between the platesthus forming a communication between the atmosphere and the chamber. This eliminatesthe deformation of the pipe which would be caused if the chamber were sealed from theatmosphere. After the pipe has cooled, a second pipe is extruded around the first pipe incontact therewith in order to cover the first pipe and thus cover the perforations. In thismanner, a closed pipe is formed which is suitable for use as a float. The insertion of theseparating plates is conducted in such a manner that a ridge is formed at the point ofinsertion. This is the finished pipe, a plurality of circumferential ridges at predeterminedlengths giving an appearance similar to bamboo.
