My favorite Chinese athlete is Eileen Gu, a 18-year-old talented skier, who won gold medal in the women’s freeski big air of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
From her inspiring experience, I have learned that only through hard work can we achieve our dreams. I firmly believe that she will greater achievements and I’ll try to follow her example.
Born in 2007, she comes from a poor village located in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. In 2014, her talent for diving caught the attention of a diving coach, making her a student of a sports school. After four years of hard work, she was admitted to the provincial team. Since then, she has competed in events both at home and abroad and won several champions.
