马克思主义与文艺批评

本课程将分专题研讨经典和当代马克思主义的文学和艺术批评理论，兼及马克思主义的文化和社会理论。本学期可能涉及到的议题包括：文艺、历史与文化理论、文艺与意识形态批评；文艺的形式与内容；作为生产的文艺；美学与政治；马克思主义与中国文艺等等。本课程的目的，是期望学生能在细读精解相关文本的基础上，对马克思主义文艺批评的理论特质、关键命题、发展流变及批评方法有着更为明晰的了解和领会。教师讲授为主，期中交一篇小论文（一两千字），期末交一篇马克思主义文艺批评论文。

比较文学与文学理论英文经典选读

Taught in English, this course introduces graduate students to key texts in comparative literature and literary theory. Through reading, discussion, writing assignments, and oral presentations, participants will gain a deeper understanding of these disciplines while enhancing their academic English.

The first part of the course (Weeks 1-10) traces the emergence and transformation of comparative literature. We begin with early reflections by Johann Gottfried Herder and Germaine de Staël, move to Goethe’s conversations on Weltliteratur, and examine nineteenth-century definitions of the field by Philarète Chasles, Hugo Meltzl, Charles Mills Gayley, Hutcheson Macaulay Posnett, Joseph Texte and Ferdinand Brunetière (Comparative Literature: The Early Years). We then turn to debates on comparative literature in France (Jean-Marie Curé) and the United States (René Wellek), along with D.W. Fokkema’s reflections on American comparative literature, before moving to the “Istanbul Moment” of Erich Auerbach, with readings from Mimesis and Time, History and Literature. Later sessions address comparative literature in relation to translation studies (Even-Zohar, Venuti, Bassnett), world literature and non-Western traditions (Etiemble, Owen, Fisk), and the institutional dynamics of global literature (Casanova’s The World Republic of Letters, Moretti’s Conjectures on World Literature, Damrosch’s Comparing the Literatures). Recent contributions, such as Paul Tenngart’s The Nobel Prize and the Formation of Contemporary World Literature, will also be discussed.

The second part (Weeks 11-15) turns to literary theory, using Antoine Compagnon’s Literature, Theory, and Common Sense as a guide. Each week, key theoretical issues will be paired with selected literary works, including Euripides’ The Bacchae, Borges’ The Aleph, Rabelais’ Gargantua, Chekhov’s The Lady and the Dog, Flaubert’s A Simple Heart, and Chateaubriand’s René.

All assigned readings, oral presentations, and written work will be in English. Course requirements include two short essays, one oral presentation, weekly discussion messages, and a critique of a recent academic article.

比较文学经典选读

本课程重点介绍比较文学学科的定义和发展历程、中国比较文学研究的历史与现状以及比较文学学科的基本理论和研究方法，并通过“世界-历史的发明”、“比较之维：东方与西方”、“古今之争：断裂与延续”、“阐释与翻译：存在的意义”与“人文与政治：此在的超越”五个问题方向，带领同学阅读维科、黑格尔、奥尔、库尔提乌斯、伽达默尔、斯坦纳、萨义德等人的经典著作文选，并结合学科历史背景对其中涉及的语文学、思想史与阐释学问题和命题展开讨论。

反思现代性：起源、表征与历史

本课程聚焦现代性问题，带领学生阅读近七十年来（1952-2016）西方世界对此人类历史境况的经典研究文献，涉及哲学、政治学、社会学、文学、美学等领域，从而对现代性的起源、发展形态和历史有一基本观察和了解，并为未来可能的人文研究提供一种意向性的引导和前理解的基础。

比较诗学

张辉老师

时间：周四7-9节

比较诗学课程，系比较文学专业研究生必修课。这门课主要带领同学细读中国诗学原典（如《文心雕龙》《文赋》等）及其重要的英译本，在比照和翻译中探究中西方诗学对话的可能性和涉及的核心问题。借此，一方面启发同学思考中西方文学观念的异同，另一方面则努力将中国诗学思想置于更大的文化语境中加以系统考察。课程以教师导读和同学讨论相结合的方式进行，每位同学需提前阅读指定的文本，并做至少一次主题报告。平时成绩占40%，学期中和学期末各提交一篇论文，各占30%。
